Privacy Policy

Card Kraken (“we,” “us”) is a one-person Pokémon trading-card resale business. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Public social interactions. When you comment on or react to our Facebook posts, we may read that public comment (your name and message) to reply and to measure engagement on our own posts.
• Nothing else from casual visitors. Simply browsing our social pages and this informational site does not require an account, run third-party ad trackers, or sell personal data. Our online storefront, our card-scanning tool and our digital binder collect additional information to do their job — see “Our storefront and Scan & Sell tool” and “Your digital binder” below.

How we use it

• To reply to and like comments on our own Facebook Page posts.
• To run occasional public giveaways (reading public entry comments).
• To understand which content our audience engages with.

Facebook data

We access the Facebook Graph API only for our own Page — to publish posts, and to read/reply to comments on those posts. We do not access your private profile, messages, or friends, and we do not post on your behalf.

Sharing & retention

We do not sell or share personal information with third parties. Engagement data is kept only as long as useful for running the page.

Your choices & contact

You can delete your own comments on our posts at any time. For any privacy request or question, message us on Facebook at @card_kraken.

Our storefront and Scan & Sell tool

Buying from our online storefront, or using our paid card-scanning tool (“Scan & Sell”), involves information this page does not otherwise cover — an email, payment details handled by Stripe, and, for Scan & Sell, the card photos you upload. That information is used only to provide those services. Card payments are handled by Stripe or PayPal on their own pages, so we never receive your full card number. Card photos you send to Scan & Sell are deleted after 30 days.

Your digital binder

The digital binder is a place to track the cards you own. It is currently invitation-only — there is no public sign-up. If you have an account, this is what it holds.

• Your account. An email address and a password you choose. We use the email to send your invitation and any password reset, and to reach you about your own account — not for marketing.
• Your card list. The cards you add and the prices we look up for them, kept for as long as your account exists. You can remove any card at any time.
• Card photos. A photo you upload to identify a card is deleted automatically after 30 days. If you save a photo to a card it stays until you remove it — a saved photo is never deleted automatically. You can save up to 25.
• Store credit and sell offers. If you sell cards to us or hold store credit, we keep those offers and balances, because they are a record of money owed to you.

Deleting your binder account. You can delete it yourself at any time from your account page, without asking us. That immediately removes your card list, your saved photos and their image files, and your portfolio history. What we keep, and why: store-credit entries, sell offers and orders are financial records, so they survive the deletion — and each one keeps the email address it was made under, so those records stay linked to your email even after the account itself is gone.
